Nanostructured Materials for various applications
Utilizing the unique nature of nanomaterials, the company provides customised solution in the filed of redox flow batteries, Li-ion batteries, Al ion batteries, super capacitors, HER, OER, ORR, anti-bacterial, anti-microbial and water purification applications.
The Company is also into the development of high purity Carbon based materials such as Graphene, Graphene Oxide and their composites, bio-based carbon powders besides synthesizing various metal oxide based nanomaterials such as ZnO, NiO, CuO, ZnO-NiO, TiO etc. These nanomaterials are synthesised using hydrothermal method such that the size, shape are well controlled.

Shankara provides customised nanomaterials of metal oxides, graphene, GO, Single walled, Multiwalled carbon nanotubes that are functionalized and by dispersing in a suitable solvent forms to fulfil the needs of research organizations and industries.

Instrument facilities for electrochemical applications
The Company also offers analytical instrumentation facilities such as battery tester and electrochemical work stations to carry out research on aspects related to batteries, supercapacitors, corrosion, electroplating and sensors.

1. Battery Tester
The company offers battery testing facilities for researchers using Bitrode Battery tester
(Model: LCV 4-100/1-48).
The following battery tests can undertaken:
1. Capacity Test as per C/10 or C/20 rate, asapplicable for the specific battery.
2. Efficiency Test (Ah &Wh).
3. Self-discharge Test
2. Electrochemical Workstation
An electrochemical workstation has a potentiostat with relevant control software and it is ideal for undertaking fundamental research on aspects related to electrochemistry, development and quality assurance of new sensors, corrosion/coatings, electrode material, membranes, conducting polymers, evaluation of battery materials, fuel cells, super capacitors and solar cells. The instrument consists of nearly 35 electrochemical techniques such as CV, Imedance, polarization, Tafel, Chrono potentiometry and many more.
